Privacy
Genius at Large, Inc. runs geniusatlargeinc.com. We collect very little: only the basic visit data described below and anything you choose to email us.
On the site. There are no accounts, forms or ads. The site sets no cookies of its own and stores nothing in your browser.
Our host and visit counts. The site runs on Cloudflare. To deliver and protect the site, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type, and it may set a security cookie if it needs to check that a visitor isn’t a bot. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It records things like the pages viewed, the referring site, your browser and your country, without cookies and without tracking you across other websites.
Email. If you write to hello@geniusatlargeinc.com, we receive your email address, your message, any attachments and anything else you include, such as your name. Cloudflare Email Routing forwards it to our Gmail inbox, run by Google. We use it to reply and to keep a record of the conversation. We share it only with Cloudflare and Google as described here, with collaborators or advisers when that’s needed to respond, or when the law requires it.
Other sites and Do Not Track. We don’t track you over time or across other websites, and no other company does so through this site, with one exception: the film trailers load from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode only when you press play, and from then on Google may collect data such as your IP address and set cookies it can use across other sites, under Google’s privacy policy. The site works the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal. Links to other sites, such as our social media page, YouTube, Filmax, the NFB and the publications in our press list, go to sites we don’t control, with their own privacy practices.
No selling. We don’t sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
Children. This site isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you think a child under 13 has emailed us, tell us and we’ll delete the email.
Your requests. For privacy questions, or to ask what emails we have from you or to have them deleted, write to hello@geniusatlargeinc.com. We’ll delete them unless we need to keep them for legal reasons.
Changes. If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here and update the effective date above.
Terms
These terms cover your use of this site. By using it, you agree to them.
Ownership. Unless noted, the site’s text, design and logo belong to Genius at Large, Inc. Film titles, film stills, the film trailers and press headlines belong to their respective owners. Please don’t republish site content without our written permission.
Unsolicited submissions. We don’t accept or review unsolicited scripts, treatments, pitches, ideas or other creative material, so please don’t send them. Anything sent anyway is not received in confidence, creates no relationship or expectation of payment, and may be deleted unread.
No warranties. The site is provided “as is,” without any promise that it is accurate, complete or always available, and we aren’t responsible for the sites we link to.
Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent the law allows, Genius at Large, Inc. is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site.
Governing law. These terms are governed by California law.
